Perú tuvo varias ocasiones, pero concretó dos goles y empezó a especular. Una clara falta penal, que el árbitro Roldán no pitó a favor de Bolivia, tal vez sea una manchita en contra de la victoria peruana, pero no se puede decir que el partido fue cocinado contra los bolivianos. El tercer gol llegó gracias a otro regalito de los bolivianos y Guerrero sentenció el partido para convertir tres goles y pasar a ser el delantero con mayor goles con la selección peruana, y que, como si fuera poco, se ganó el corazón de esta belleza. Un crack.
Sobre el final, un tiro libre penal le dio la posibilidad del descuento y del honor a Boliva, en los pies de Moreno Martins, que convirtió el gol boliviano pero ya la suerte estaba echada.
Ahora, las semifinales ya definieron a Perú vs Chile, en una nueva batalla entre países vecinos que, más allá de las cuestiones geopolíticas, siempre tiene una pica de rivalidad que excede lo deportivo.
